florida blue in the sanford call center is a shady place that is not good for employees and unethical. There is a lot of nonsense that goes on there and a lot of backstabbing and people trying to even mess with other people's careers. the manager chad garrell acts like a control freak, bully and uses his position to mistreat or lie to employees or bully them. He mislead me about important... Read more

I am switching from BCBS overseas because in Germany, we pay upfront to most host nation doctors as civilians and this insurer did not seem to cover a fair amount of the costs. Any US insurer is likely bound by US rules but by word of mouth, I am switching to the Foreign Service Benefit Plan, which federal civilians abroad are allowed to do. Buyer beware: BCBS pays based on US standards and can... Read more

I am sick of hearing insurance companies claiming poverty. During the last contract year, they have denied prescriptions or increased their prices a hundred fold. They denied 3 Mri's out right and claimed it was the physicians fault. I get a weekly dose of methotrexate, a drug that has been around more than 50 years, costs pennies to make. The nurse gives them to me but I have to pay an office... Read more

My wife had a suspicious lump in her breast and a biopsy was performed to see if the lump was cancerous. I am a retired federal worker who has BCBS Federal Employee Program Basic coverage. Luckily, the biopsy was negative. However, BCBS refused to pay one penny towards my wife's treatment. Now the hospital is coming after me and my wife for the full supposed cost of the procedure over 5K. In... Read more

I tried to fill a Nuvigil prescription on the last week of September and was told by my pharmacy that they will need to get a pre-authorization before they can fill my prescription. It usually takes about 2 weeks but this time after a month I still had no medications and the pharmacy gave up. I had an appointment the last week of October with my physician who sent another prescription and I... Read more
