I have been paying the same premium they invoice me for and now I have been told my dental insurance was never deactivated as of Jan 1. They want back pay of 1100 because their system will not let them create a gap in policy. All the people I talked admit it was an error on the company's behalf but nobody higher up will approve the gap. Add comment

I just had the worst customer experience of my life. I tried to buy my prescription at Walgreens and was informed I didn't have coverage. So I spent about thirty minutes on hold before I was told that, oh, I should have coverage & they're restarting it right now. In the meantime, I have a respiratory infection and my chest is in pain and I'm fighting to not have to pay for drugs that I pay... Read more

Step 1: I made payments through their crappy third party vendor, ePayBill, which does not bother to show exactly what amount is owed. I am insured by BCBS Federal, which is administered by BCBS of NC for where I live. Reportedly, they have instituted a "new state of the art" payment and claim processing system in December of 2013. I am having problems getting resolution of issues with my new policy and charges that should be covered through my insurance. The phone is out as the wait time is over 60 minutes, using the e-mail through the BCBS web site for my account gets the standard message: I'm not able to take care of this for you, so I'm forwarding your message to a specialist in the appropriate area. From now it's been 189, that is 27 weeks.....I have called twice a week that in or around 48 times not including my Husband calling. Estimated time for each call 1-2hrs. I recently logged in to my personal health record on the blue cross website. I found several "diagnoses" with specific dates/physicians that were totally incorrect. For example it stated I had a placenta prévia, pernicious anemia, feeding problems with my newborn, hyperlipidemia, and a tumor in my bike duct just to name a few, but none of these things have EVER happened to me. My insurance policy increased by $100. I didnt realize this until I tried to take my 2 year old to the doctor and they said my insurance was inactive since May. I was still making payments, however, they were alittle short. I called BCBS customer service and they said I was 2 days past the 60 day limit to pay the owed balance. Ha! Denying claim payment is happening to me too!! My daughter (3 years old) fell and hit back of her head at my friend's house on March 30th. She vomit twice that day, so I took her to the emergency room that night. Today (4 months later), I got statement that Blue Shield won't cover any of it, and I need to sue my friend where it happend! I tried to make a payment on their incredibly confusing website. The website said I made too many payments and none of the payments are authorized. I called in to their automated phone system only to put on hold. While I'm waiting on a 30 minute hold to try and check if my payment is going through, I have to listen classical music with horrendous audio quality, and a recording of health facts... Read more
