Here is what I have now been dealt. I renewed my Coverage through the health insurance market place on 12/09/2014 and was approved. I kept the exact same plan for my husband and myself as what we had in 2014. I contacted BCBST on January 6th because I had not received any billing and they had not updated my info in order to pay online. Long story short I continued to contact BCBST and health... Read more

See Mayo Clinic definition for PTSD. The definition needs to be amended to specifically name Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS). The front line phone respondents are polite. But BCBS management has created a indeterminable claims process designed to discourage even the most tenacious customer. We have 2 claims that took OVER 3 months in the review department. Note, telephone operators are not... Read more

Ordered insurance through Obamacare. (rolls eyes). Paid the first 2 months, and filled out form on back for them to take it out of my savings account. The routing number was incorrect (no idea who's fault, as they never told me) . A month goes by and I am scheduled for important MRA test and hospital calls to inform me I have NO INSURANCE. Wha?????? I call them and they say 'we sent out a... Read more

Every time I have an issue with BCBS I have to call the hotline which is hard to find. Their website, although recently updated, is not helpful because I can't add a credit card. You have to add routing numbers and bank account info. You also cannot ask a question online ... only telephone again. I feel like they are stuck in 1987. I received a termination notice and to be re-instated you have to... Read more

I've been having problems with my account since October. After I made 25 phone calls for a total of 6 hours and 57 seconds, I find out our account is suspended. Eevidently, they found an error dating back to December 2014. So without notice or even a May invoice, boom we're cancelled. When my husband went for his 2 blood pressure prescriptions on 5/14, that is when we found out highmark... Read more

Signed up for Obama care through Florida Blue. 2014 passed and I resigned for 2015. In March 2015 I was alerted to the fact I could and should apply for VA. I was accepted with VA mid March 2015 and made several attempts to contact Florida Blue customer service along with the Federal Marketplace and let them know I now was being covered by VA. After at least four phone calls to both Florida Blue... Read more

Blue Cross of NC terminated my policy for no reason. I paid my monthly premiums on time and my bank statements prove it. They claim that my premium should have been $110 more than what I had signed up for with the Health Insurance Marketplace. I never agreed to that - and had set up a plan like I did last year - based on my income. Blue Cross does not know my yearly income - and so how can they... Read more

I ordered eyeglasses through FepBlue (Davis Vision) on March 13th, 2015. Today is now May 1st and I still do not have that pair of glasses to wear. They have been sent back to the same lab 4 times. I pay insurance for this same fact and the only answers I have received are to reimburse me 45 dollars for the A/R Coating and then 45 dollars for the overage on the frame allowance. This is what... I am going through the denial process right now! My doctor prescribed Forteo for severe osteoporosis because the degrading of my spine and right hip bone was too severe for the usual osteoporosis drugs. I have twice been denied. My husband and I are both retired and I am not medicare eligible so we must pay out of pocket for the 2 year daily injections that will REBUILD my bones to a normal... Read more

I have been newly diagnosed with severe postmenapausal osteoporosis and I need a medication called Forteo, which is a 2 year course that will REBUILD my bones, not just slow the progression of bone loss. My bone density numbers are so bad that the "usual" medications will be ineffective and will not rebuild my bones. I am a healthy, active 62 year old female who, because of my severe... Read more
