I have ADD and if I don't take Adderall I make many mistakes at my work. I previously took Adderal XR (extended release which lasts about 8 hours, perfect for getting me through a day of work.) But I am now on permanent disability and would like to take the generic for half the cost but BCBS REFUSES to cover the generic, which my pharmacist said is readily available and named Amphetamine Salt ER.... I have had nothing but problems with BCBS of GA through my employer! First of all, it took them almost 4 mos to approve an MRI on my spine! They finally said that they did approve it but somehow failed to let either my doctor or me know of this approval! I've been on misc blood thinners for the last 11 months. I called today to follow up on a prescription authorization submitted by my doctor. I waited for 15 minutes for someone to pick up - she unfortunately was not of much help.
