I have a BCBS First Priority Life Basic Catastrophic coverage policy. $119 a month. It covered 4 doctors visits and was written as covering urgent care. I bought my insurance in December of 2014. I need it for my MS treatment. It's almost February and they barely send me the ID card after I called three to four times. After bilateral knee surgery bcbs refused to pay for more than a few days at a rehab centre despite the pleadings of medical staff that her pain was uncontrolled and they were worried. The blue cross blue shield medicare pdp is absolutely impossible to contact to make a simple bank account change. They are either understaffed or simply don't give a darn about customer service. Add comment

My son was born 12/16/14. We've called to get him insurance and they never put him on. A month later we thought he had insurance he still doesn't. I am having the same issue as others. They pre-authorized a procedure I needed to have done and now they are refusing to pay. They claim that since it was out of network the provider charged more than they are willing to pay even though they had the procedure number and knew up front how much this would cost.
